Oppenheimer-inspired Smokey Manhattan

A Smokey Manhattan to be sipped on after watching Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer

This may be a Manhattan, but it’s no project. The Smokey Manhattan is inspired by Oppenheimer. While there were copious martini’s consumed throughout the movie, a Smokey Manhattan felt more fitting for a cocktail inspired by the movie.

Let’s make an Oppenheimer inspired Smokey Manhattan

• 2oz Bourbon Whiskey

• 1oz sweet / red vermouth

• 2-3 dashes of orange or regular bitters

• 2 Luxardo Maraschino cocktail cherries

• Cherry wood chips

Directions:

1. 1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice

2. Combine bourbon, vermouth, orange bitters

3. Shake vigorously

4. Pour into a low glass

5. Place smoker lid on glass, fill with cherry wood and torch chips until smoke is visible

6. Serve with smoke rolling off the top
